Journey With Hope

Virtuoso cellist Renato Lucas, violin protege Denise Huang and acclaimed pianist Carmencita Sipin-Aspiras graced the stage of the Francisco Santiago Hall in Makati last Oct. 25 and gave a performance worthy of several curtain calls and a standing ovation. Their repertoire titled "Journey With Hope" consists of Beethoven's works nearing his total deafness.

Señor Lucas rendered a soulful solo called Sonata No. 3 Pianoforte and Violoncello in A Major Op. 69. Together with Ms. Huang, they performed a passionate duet titled "Kreutzer" Sonata for Violin and Piano in A Major, Op. 47. Their beautiful ensemble ended with a powerful finale as Ms. Aspiras joined them in the song "Archduke" Piano Trio in B flat major, Op. 97. That's a mouthful of titles, eh? Needless to say, Beethoven's masterpieces were skillfully executed by three of the country's first-class artists.

Launch of GENERATIONS

The NXTGen Kids Choir staged a successful concert at the CCF St. Francis Square last March 29, 2008. They launched their album called "GENERATIONS" with Rico del Rosario of Yeshua as choreographer and the Mime Ministry as special guest. The program also introduced Batch 2 of the Kids Choir.

Lightswitch Publishing would like to pay tribute to the late Teri Tolosa-- production manager for Shepherd King: The Story of David, CCF Singles core member, NXTGen Lifeshaper, single mom and dear friend.

She fought cancer the last 2 years of her life and has claimed victory in physical and spiritual battles . She said goodbye to the world last Sept. 12, 2007 in the most gracious fashion.

NXTGen Kids Choir Album Sneak Peek

After almost 2 years of rehearsing and recording, the NXTGen Kids Choir staged the world premiere of their first album called "GENERATIONS" last September 8, 2007 at CCF.

The album contains 10 tracks featuring original praise and worship songs for kids written and arranged by Reev Robledo. It includes "The Greatest Story", "A Better Place", "Heartsong", "Aawit Sa `Yo" and "My Little Prayer".

Also appearing in the album are special guest stars Vida and musician John Hofilena. Album will be out this Oct. 2007. Watch out for it!
